 We have shared much history. Stressful auditions…laughing so hard we thought we would bust a gut, tears of frustration, tears of pride and accomplishment, a determination to create amazing theatre…no matter what, costumes that were crazy, sets we thought we would never get done… small audiences… big audiences… bulk mailings… teeny-tiny budgets…bold and beautiful productions…

You are always a part of the YPC family.  It’s time to reconnect with old friends…Leave a message for someone you did a show with or share a favorite memory or a photos.  Update us on what you are doing—we want to know! No really!!

Here’s a shout-out to a few of YPC’s notable alums:

Stephen Anthony – Actor (New York City): Stephen is a part of the company of Broadway’s WAR HORSE. He works in New York City as an actor and graduated with a BFA from Syracuse University.

Zach Curtis – Actor, Director (Minneapolis): Zach was a founding member of 50-Foot Penguin Theatre Company, has worked as artistic director for Paul Bunyan Playhouse, and now works as a freelance actor and director in Minneapolis.

Colton Dunn – Actor, Writer, Comedian (Los Angeles): Colton is a writer for The Arsenio Hall Show and Key & Peele. You can also see him performing live at The Upright Citizen’s Brigade.

Dave Gangler – Actor (Minneapolis): Dave is a professional actor in the Twin Cities, performing with Park Square Theatre, Bloomington Civic Theatre, Nimbus, History Theatre and many others. Dave has stayed connected with YPC—with computer tech support, and Cattle Call hosting.

 

Josh Hartnett – Actor (Los Angeles): Josh first performed with YPC as Huckleberry Finn in TOM SAWYER. Today, Josh is an film and television actor and producer. Some notable films include: BLACK HAWK DOWN, SIN CITY, LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN, and PEARL HARBOR.

AJ Hilton – News Anchor (Michigan): AJ is a news anchor at WCTV in Tallahasse. AJ was one of the original characters in YPC’s production of Schoolhouse Rock Live!

Tina Jensen – Actor (New York City): Tina graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and now works as an actor in New York City. She is best known for her role in GIRL TALK: THE MUSICAL.

Devin Kelley – Actor (Los Angeles): Devin graduated from USC School of Theatre’s BFA program. Devin has been in THE CHICAGO CODE, CHERNOBYL DIARIES, and can soon be seen in the ABC series, RESURRECTION.

 

Matt Koskenmaki – Composer (Los Angeles): Matt is an award-winning composer for film and TV including, SURVIVOR, BIG BROTHER, APPRENTICE and more.

Kinaundre Lee – Actor (Minneapolis): Kinaundre is a professional actor in the Twin Cities who recently toured to Japan with the Ordway’s production of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT. Kinaundre performed as Joseph in YPC’s production.

Julie Magnuson – Director (Minneapolis): Julie graduated from Hamline University with a BA in K-12 Theater Arts & Dance Education. Julie served as Director of Education and Outreach at YPC. She currently works as a producer for the online show C TOLLE RUN.

Doug Neithercott – Artistic Director, Actor (Minneapolis): Doug – pictured here as Pecos Bill – heads up ComedySportz Minneapolis. He performs there as well as writing and directing around the Twin Cities.

Seth Numrich – Actor (New York City): Seth graduated from Julliard, and went on to be cast as the lead in the Tony Award-winning play WAR HORSE on Broadway.

 

Kahlil Queen – Actor, Composer, Educator (Minneapolis): Kahlil has composed original music for many YPC productions, notably MEAN, YPC’s wildly successful anti-bullying show. Kahlil also performs at numerous twin cities theatres—Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, Ten Thousand Things, and the Minnesota History Theatre.

Paris Remillard – Actor (New York City): Paris is a performer who has been with the cast of HAIR on Broadway for several years. Paris most recently performed as Claude, one of the leads, in the National Tour of HAIR.

Charlie Sanders – Actor, Writer (Los Angeles): Charlie is writer for The Key & Peele Show on Comedy Central.  You can also see him acting in a variety of roles on television, and performing live in LA.

Christian Skelley – Actor, Writer (Los Angeles): Christian graduated from Augsburg College with a double major in theatre and English. Christian recently edited the short story collection Yo, Kid! I Dare You to Read This.

Nick Swardson – Comedian, Actor, Producer, Writer (Los Angeles): Nick is best known for his role in JUST GO WITH IT, RENO 911, the HAPPY MADISON films, and PRETEND TIME on Comedy Central.

Tyrus Thompson – Musician, Sound Designer (Minneapolis): Ty is a musician in the Twin Cities, playing with several local bands. Ty also designs sound for YPC’s mainstage shows.

Adam Ward – Actor, Spokesman (Los Angeles): Adam is an actor, known for being a spokesman for Gillette. In his days with YPC, he played Jackie Robinson in THE JACKIE ROBINSON STORY.

Tommy Wesley –Writer (New York City): Tommy studied theater and media in college and is now an editor for Buzzfeed.com
